About Stay in Seahouses

In line with current Government legislation
between 12th April & 16th May 2021 we can only welcome 1 household/bubble, in all of our properties.
From 17th May 2021, rule of 6 or 2 households/bubbles will apply to Cartshed & Hastings House, reductions in pricing will apply for use of only part of the property at Hastings House.
from 21st June we should be back to welcoming groups of up to 10 at Hastings House

We own and manage six quality self catering holiday cottages in the bustling village of Seahouses on the North Northumberland Coast.  Our properties are very different.  
4 x one bedroomed cottages near the harbour.
A spectacular 5 bedroom,, 5 bathroom 5* Gold award house with a hot tub in a quiet inland location but still under a mile from spectacular beaches.
A quaint 5* gold award 2 bedroom cottage in a small hamlet which is again in walking distance of the beaches.  
All of our properties are dog friendly, welcome children and provide some of the best holiday accommodation in the area.

Cliff House Cottages - Seahouses - The Old Quarter just above the harbour

A selection of four x one bedroomed cottages, offering cosy but extremelhy well equipped accommodation for two people.  Private parking in the cobbled coutyard with individual seating area for alfresco dining.  All are dog friendly, have good wifi.  A communal laundry room provides washer, drier, and ironing facility.. The location couldn’t be better - one of the old fishing squares just above the harbour youa re in easy walking distance of sandy beaches, pubs, restaurants and shops.  Seahouses has a Co-op, independent butcher, baker and fruit & veg traders. These quaint little cottages are some of the oldest buildings in the village but offer every modern convenience proving very popular with visitors. No2,3 & 6 are Visit England 3 Star, No 4 has attained 4 Star. Note whilst all of the properties are very well equipped,  none has a dishwasher.

No 2 Cliff House Cottages

The two storey end property offers a very large bedroom with a king double. downstairs a lounge kitchen with dining table, and a downstairs shower room. 1/2 small/medium dogs welcome. Note this is not a large cottage so additional sleeping on a temporary bed is usually restricted to weekend breaks. Downstairs floor is tiled throughout.

No 3 Cliff House Cottages

Our smallest cottage, we equate to the size of a small static caravan, separate bedroom, lounge kitchen with dining facility, and a shower room. Ideal for the single traveller or couple who  just want a base to explore the area and enjoy being out and about.  1 small/medium dog is welcome.

No 4 Cliff House Cottages

Our 4 star property is a little more spacious with a big bedroom with Superking bed. . Lounge/kitchen/diner and shower room. Flooring in living area and bedroom is Karndean making it more suitable for thos with a dog. Shower room tiled. 1 larger or 2 small/medium dogs welcome

No 6 Cliff House Cottages

Single storey end cottage. A larger lounge kitchen diner with tiled flooring, leads to a double bedroom with shower room off. Two comfortable sofas and a good sized dining table make this a lovely cottage to relax in after a day’s exploring. Outside is a full enclosed decked area.  1 large or 2 small/medium dogs welcome

You couldn’t really ask for much more in a holiday house.

We designed and built Hastings House specifically to accommodate up to 10 adults in as flexible surroundings as possible, and have floor finishes to cater for K9’s and Kids alike.  Underfloor heating and two log burners make this a year round destination for short breaks or weeks.

So, you have 5 bedrooms, they’re not massive but perfectly adequate and beautifully finished and furnished, accommodating super king beds in 4 of them, a king in the other.  All bedrooms can be made in the double format or as twins, so even if you’re not family or close friends you can all come on a break together and ensure your own sleeping comfort..  3 bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms and the other two utilise the family bathroom (bath with shower over) and the family shower room with a really massive shower.  This also provides easy access for those who may have difficulty with threshes.(max height 4 cm and room for a shower stool if required).

The fantastic kitchen with its centre island, granite work surfaces, catering size pans and dishes provides the facility to make a beach picnic, an alfesco snack on the deck or a sit down gourmet dinner for 10. We can provide an inventory of kitchen equipment if you’d like to see what is here. The dining room easily seats 10, and the glazed door gives access to the outside deck and hot tub.  Outside we cater for alfresco dining, relaxing on our deck chairs, playing giant size chess, or just chillin in the tub.  

Upstairs is a huge lounge,  TV with Sky multi room package, cinema and sports packages. Games station, Wii, and of course h-speed wifi with Alexa.The house has a Spotify account for muisc and radio and you can connect your device to the Alexa for sound.

In all the house has 7, yes SEVEN, TV’s of various sizes, and we have included a games table and leisure wear storage facility within the garage area including church pew seating so you can have teams and spectators all together.

Entertainment

This year we’ve decided to make it even more easy for you to entertain yourselves. Hastings is a great place to gather for a blather if you haven’t seen each other for a while. But what about the background music, the films, the TV soaps and Sport.

Well there are 7 TV’s in the house so everyone can get to watch what they want. This year we’ve introduced NOWTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime and a host of smart TV streaming channels with Alexa built in, and a Sound system to bluetooth your own music to plus the house has a Spotify account

Technology

So, the. kids have their own Play station and Wii but can also bring their own favourite kit to link to the screen provided. 

The house has super fast wi-fi, so streaming on your own device isn’t a problem.

Meet Alexa - we’ve introduced her to Hastings recently,  so you don’t need to know how to work the undfloor heating just ask her to raise the temperature or reduce it.  This service will grow as we develop some of the skills specifically for Hastings to provide information on demand about the house and the area

Environment

We take our responsibilities for the environment very seriously. we clean the property with environmentally friendly products, and encourage guests to live in an environmentally friendly a way as possible.

Our water is solar heated.

So, our waste is managed with a no-landfill policy by our trade waste company, We encourage guests to recycle, reuse and re-purpose, We provide guests with details of walks, and cycle routes and provide parking for you to leave your car at home.

We also have a no fire-works policy in and around the house, for the sake of wildlife and pets alike.

Continuing our high quality theme, the Cartshed is our most recent build, completed in 2011 it is also graded 5* Gold by Visit England for the last 7 years straight., It is extremely well fitted and furnished and offers comfortable luxury for 4 guests. We welcome K9’s and Kids too. Our stone flag floors throughout make for easy care whilst you are on holiday. The cottage has everything you could wish for including good wi-fi, dishwasher, washer drier, 2 bathrooms both with shower facilities, one with a bath. Master bedroom has super king double bed which can be a twin on request. the 2nd bedroom is a king but can also be made as two smaller twin beds on request.  There is underfloor heating throughout and the lounge also has a log burner for cosy winter and autumnal stays.  Outside is a small enclosed courtyard with good table and chairs for alfresco dining in the evening sun.  The cartshed.  has all of the faciities of our other properties, is green clean and eco friendly (solar water heating),

Both bedrooms have flexible beds and can be twins on request. the master has an ensuite shower room. The other has access jack n jill style to the main bathroom also accessed from the hall.

Similarly to Hastings House, this is a catering kitchen with everything you’ll need to make a sandwich for the beach or a 3 course celebration meal for 4.

Our lounge diner has double opening doors to bring the outside in, accessing the sunny courtyard for alfresco dining or to bring a bit of airiness into the lounge. Its gated outside so dogs and kids are safe.

During the summer months, Easter to end of October we welcome caraavans & motorhomes which have their own facilities  on our well.serviced Paddock we provide up to 10 serviced pitches for touring caravans and motor homes.
